How to forward calls from a landline or EPABX when nobody answers

Landline and EPABX forwarding is set up on your exchange or with your phone provider, so our team does it with your IT person, usually in one visit or call. Your number stays the same and your desk phones still ring first.

What we do with your IT person

  1. 1 Book a 10-minute call. Tell us your exchange (EPABX / IVR) or landline provider.
  2. 2 We add forwarding to your assistant’s number for the cases you choose: every line busy, no answer after a set number of rings, or after hours.
  3. 3 We place a test call together and check the WhatsApp summary arrives.

Some plain landlines without an exchange accept the same codes as mobiles; we check this on the call.

Give yourself a missed call

From another phone, call your number and don’t pick up. The assistant should answer, and a WhatsApp summary should arrive within seconds. The app marks you Live when it sees the call.

Turn it off

Cancel forwarding

Or pause the assistant from the app and leave forwarding as it is. [What callers hear while the assistant is paused]

Landline forwarding questions

What do you need from our IT person?

Access to the EPABX or IVR settings (or your provider’s account) to add a busy / no-answer / after-hours forward to your assistant’s number.

Can we forward only after hours?

Yes. Most EPABX systems can forward on a time schedule. We set whichever cases you want: busy, no answer, after hours.

Will callers see a different number?

No. They dial your number as always.

Still stuck? Message us on WhatsApp.
